I’ve seen a lot of great bridal cars in my time.
This one was a favourite.
Shane has been restoring his VW Kombi for a few years and the wedding was just the goal he needed to get it finished. And boy did it look great! With the always gorgeous Yarra Valley as the backdrop, the car was given pride of place at the ceremony entrance and was a huge talking point for the guests.
Shane was one proud groom. And he hadn’t even married Raelee yet.
They chose not to have a bridal party keeping the day intimate, personal and family orientated. What else do you need?
Having just the three of us made their location shoot so much fun. It gave them time to talk and because it took less time to shoot, they were back with their guests in half an hour.
The reception was beautiful. Raelee handmade a lot of her decorations including the name tags (which as I type, mine is dangling on the corner of my computer). They gave tea and coffee as their favours with a “Love is Brewing” tag on each. So cute!
Their dance was also a highlight. Some people do the wedding waltz, others shuffle, some go all out. Raelee & Shane danced like they were in their living room with a heap of friends. It was perfection.
Raelee & Shane, I LOVED capturing your wedding. I felt more like a guest than a photographer and for that, I thank you, your family and all your friends. I hope you’re enjoying Fiji and we’ll catch up soon!
