I’m very lucky to have a lot of easygoing brides.
Jane tops the list.
When we first talked in May, she described their day as vintage/relaxed/no bridal party/cocktail reception. We met up for a coffee the Monday before their wedding and after chatting for an hour, I left knowing I was going to love shooting their wedding.
On their day, it was raining.
Actually not just raining… it was pouring. Like overflowing drainpipes and water gushing down roads. Not ideal.
I would normally expect to find a slightly stressed bride but Jane was glowing and didn’t care. She was, after all, still marrying her Mat.
Jane & Mat’s love of retro led to Jane wanting to do their photos at the Mill Markets in Geelong. It’s a place I visit every time I’m there so I was definitely keen (while thinking “must remember not to shop!”)
Instead of having a bridal party, they brought along some of their closest friends to the Mill Markets to have a bit of fun with. And that we did.
The reception was at Pakington Cottage. It’s one of my favourite café’s in Geelong and it was fab.
I can’t tell you how much I loved this wedding and these people.
Jane, you are a beautiful soul and Mat is your perfect match.
I can’t wait to see you both again soon.
Jane made all the slices for their sweets stall.
