Springtime Showers | Emma & Chris

I’m the luckiest photographer.

No really, I am. I have the best couples to photograph and Emma & Chris are the perfect examples.

As I drove into Geelong the morning of their wedding, it was gorgeous. Overcast mostly but the sun broke through every now and then just to tease us.

The boys were in their room playing Texas Hold ‘Em (I had to ask what they were playing so I could write that part. Clearly my little stint in Vegas in July was NOT spent at the tables!) while the girls were in their room, completely organised and ready to go.

As we arrived at the ceremony, the sky was slowly getting darker and at 2.30pm right when the ceremony was due to start it rained.

When it cleared, Emma walked down the aisle to meet her husband to be. Half way through the ceremony, it rained again and all the guests scattered for cover. What I remember though, is that everyone was laughing, even Emma & Chris.

Right as we were about to start our photos it poured. And poured. And poured.

Most brides would be worried about getting their dress wet, hair out of place and the shoes dirty but not Emma. She hitched up her dress, walked out in the rain and said “I don’t care, let’s get photos!”

Told you I’m lucky!

Just as the ceremony is due to start...

And then there were some chairs to wipe down.

I love a man in a bowtie and Emma's Grandfather was absolutely dashing!

Ok storytime... Emma & Chris met while working at a Cinema in Colac so Chris organised for us to have 10 minutes in the Geelong Cinema. We had so much fun doing the pics and just as much fun eating the popcorn!

I love this one!
