I admit it… I have a crush on Elvis.
Ever since I was little I was fascinated by him so needless to say, when I got engaged I wanted Elvis to be our celebrant. My husband knocked the idea on the head before I’d even finished my sentence and my dream was shattered. Just like that!
So where does a girl who loves Elvis dream of shooting a wedding? VEGAS BABY!!!!
When our friends Robyn and Leon told us they were getting married in Vegas we were so excited and as it turned out to be in the final three days of our big holiday, what better way to go out with a bang.
The whole thing was crazy…. Firstly the buck’s party was in Cancun. Yes Cancun! What normal woman let’s her soon-to-be-husband go to Cancun with his mates? Robyn… the best wife-to-be ever!
Next, the ceremony went for a grand total of seven minutes.
The speeches were delivered in the big black leather-lined limo before the reception of all receptions…. at In-N-Out Burger. The 19 guests all agreed they’d never been more full after a wedding dinner.
And then, at the Welcome to Vegas sign, it happened…. Elvis arrived!!
I think I was more excited than I should have been. Not cool.
We had stops at the famous Fountains of Bellagio and the incredible Fremont Street, which just so happened to have a fluoro clad 80’s band playing. We may have danced a little…
We made new friends, we saw the craziest city ever and most importantly, we got to be there when our friends said “I do.”
It might not be for everyone, but by golly it was fun and truly unforgettable.
Robyn and Leon, thanks for letting us capture your day how we saw it! xxx
Robyn & Leon decided to see each other before the ceremony
"Sorry Sir, did you say 25 burgers?"
I don't normally blog group photos but I don't shoot weddings in Vegas every week...
Ahhhhh.. here he is!
